BREAKING NBA TRADE: Blockbuster 3-Team Deal Sends Porzingis To Surprising Team
And just like that, the Boston Celtics have cleared all the salary they were hoping to this summer, as they're completing a blockbuster three-team trade to send center Kristaps Porzingis to the Atlanta Hawks.
BREAKING: Boston, Atlanta and Brooklyn are finalizing a three-team trade that sends Kristaps Porzingis and a second-round pick to the Hawks, Terance Mann and Atlanta's No. 22 pick to the Nets, and Georges Niang and a second-rounder to the Celtics. pic.twitter.com/1fcbIslyVF

Terance Mann and Atlanta's No. 22 pick go to the Brooklyn Nets, while Georges Niang and a second-rounder head to the Celtics. By nabbing that Hawks pick, the Nets now have an insane FIVE first-round picks in Wednesday night's draft: #8, 19, 22, 26, and 27. Could they be looking to package some out to move up?
The Hawks had been peddling Mann around the league this week, per insider Jake Fischer; he's now heading to Brooklyn.
With the move, combined with their trade of Jrue Holiday late last night, the Celtics have now gotten themselves under the second apron, their goal for this summer, and still have held on to Jaylen Brown and Derrick White.
Porzingis is due to make $30.7 million in the final year of his contract next season. Combine that with the $32.4 million Holiday is set to earn, and the Boston salary dump winds up looking like this:
The Celtics ended up trading Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porziņģis for the following:
