The Dallas Mavericks, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, and Cleveland Cavaliers have all inquired about LeBron's availability.
All of those teams have somewhat reasonable championship aspirations. The Cavaliers, of course, are his hometown team that he led to a title back in 2016, but it's already been rumored that they would only be interested in bringing back LeBron in a buyout situation.
Rumors about James joining Steph Curry in Golden State have been swirling for a while now, while a reunion with Kyrie Irving, in Dallas, would be a wild twist.
All of this was triggered after Rich Paul's comments when LeBron picked up his $52.6 million player option for the coming season: His cryptic statement talked about LeBron wanting to “compete for a championship” for whatever time he has left in his career, and that they will have to “evaluate what’s best for LeBron at this stage in his life and career.”
LeBron was in Las Vegas to watch his son Bronny play in the Summer League, and refused to answer any questions about his future.
With LeBron James at the Lakers game tonight, I asked him if he would like to speak to me about his future with the franchise. “I ain’t got nothing to talk about,” he said. My report for ESPN from Las Vegas. pic.twitter.com/sFRgCYHmqw

"I ain't got nothing to talk about," was all James would say to ESPN's Dave McMenamin.
Meanwhile, other reports say that the Lakers want to move on from LeBron ASAP.
