Breaking: Huge Signing of Key Player for the Portland Trail Blazers

A big move by the Portland Trail Blazers to lock up a key part of their future, as All-Defensive Team forward Toumani Camara has agreed on a four-year, $82 million contract extension.

Camara was a second-round pick in the 2023 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns, but had a breakout season in 2024-25, playing a vital, two-way role in the Blazers' rotation. He averaged 11.3 points, 5.8 boards and 1.5 steals per game last season while shooting 37.5% from three-point range.

He was named to the All-NBA Defensive Second Team, and even finished 9th in the balloting for Defensive Player of the Year. The 6'8" forward, who brings energy to the court, can guard multiple positions, excels at forcing turnovers, drawing charges, and just making life difficult for opponents.

The 25-year-old started all of his 78 games last season with Portland, and averaged over 32 minutes a night.
