3 'Serious' Trade Targets at Center for Golden State Warriors
Noted insider Chris Haynes has revealed some Golden State Warriors trade plans. He has named three targets at center that the Dubs are seriously targeting. All of them are defense-first, athletic big men. He names Nic Claxton, Daniel Gafford & Robert Williams III as being on the Warriors' radar.

The Dubs find themselves in the bottom half of the NBA in rebounding and blocked shots, while on the other end of the floor, in points-in-the-paint, Golden State is dead last among all 30 teams. They're looking for a rim-protector and a rim-runner.
"I was told they are very serious," said Haynes in relaying the news. He said the Warriors are doing "everything they can" to get back to a championship-caliber team.
Nic Claxton
The Brooklyn Nets are trying their hardest to tank this season, but with players like Claxton and Michael Porter Jr. having very good years, the Nets aren't bottoming out as much as they'd hoped. Both of those players are trade candidates, and Claxton would be very much in demand. His price would be high. He's averaging a career high in minutes (30.3) and points (13.5).
Daniel Gafford
Gafford, with the Dallas Mavericks, is currently nursing a recovered ankle sprain, and has a minutes restriction of less than 20 per game right now. He is actually less expendable these days for Dallas, however, after center Dereck Lively II was lost for the season due to foot surgery. Additionally, No. 1 big man Anthony Davis is considered a trade candidate, so the Mavs might not be so quick to deal Gafford.
Robert Williams III
The Trail Blazers center offers the most upside of the three on this list, at both ends of the floor. The problem is, keeping him on the floor. He's averaged only 33.5 games per season in his first seven years in the NBA, and he's already missed 10 games in the current campaign. But when he plays, he's extremely effective. His Per-36 Minutes averages in his career are 12.8 points, 12.2 boards and 3.0 blocks.
Alas, he's only averaged 19.9 minutes per game, and, as mentioned, very few games per season.
