Milwaukee Bucks Considering This Blockbuster Offer From Miami Heat

The Miami Heat appear to be one of the leading contenders in the Giannis Antetokounmpo sweepstakes. And it isn't just because his mother just randomly posted a throwback picture on social media of Giannis in the Miami arena.

It's more because of his desire to be there, and a potentially strong package they could offer to the Bucks. The two sides have apparently discussed this blockbuster deal, according to insider Marc Stein.

Heat receive:
  • Giannis Antetokounmpo

Bucks receive:

  • Tyler Herro
  • Kel’El Ware
  • Multiple (three or four) first-round picks

The Heat would have to obtain a couple of first-rounders elsewhere, as they only have a current limitation of two of their own first-round picks to put into play (2030 and ’32).

Insider Chris Haynes figures that Miami is a team that Giannis would definitely re-up with on a long-term extension, which he'll be eligible for on Oct. 1. It would be a four-year, $275 million supermax extension.

"Miami would definitely have to be a team that you would think he would sign long-term with," said Haynes.

"With that said, I think they have to go all in, whatever that looks like."

Shams Charania has reported that the Heat, Minnesota Timberwolves, New York Knicks and Golden State Warriors "are among the serious suitors" for the Greek Freak.

"Because next season essentially serves as an expiring year on his contract, it increases his ability to position where he wants to be dealt. Any team willing to pay the steep price in both players and draft capital to acquire him would want to know whether he is committed for the long term," added Charania.
