The team has announced that Curry will miss another five games with the bone bruise in his left knee. He'll be re-evaluated in 10 days.
The Warriors superstar has already missed the last 10 games with the injury, officially called "patella-femoral pain syndrome", but more commonly known as "runner's knee." The Dubs have gone 4-6 in those 10 games, leaving them still locked in to the 8-seed in the Western Conference, and a date in the Play-In.
They haven't lost any ground over the time that Curry has been out, as the other teams around them, Phoenix, Portland and the Clippers, have been mediocre as well.
Warriors have gone just 8-13 without Curry in the lineup this season
Curry is the Warriors' leading scorer this season, at 27.2 points per game while shooting 39.1% from three-point range. But he has only managed to play 39 games due to an injury-plagued campaign. Overall, they're 8-13 without him in the lineup.
He was supposed to return after the All-Star break, but a setback during a workout over the break left him farther away once again.
“It’s just something that you don’t want to have lingering because it can get worse,” Curry said.
The Dubs are also without Curry's co-star, Jimmy Butler, lost to a season-ending ACL tear back in January.
