It's a Grade 2 oblique injury for Reaves and he is expected to miss four to six weeks. That's it for the rest of the regular season and likely the entire first round of the playoffs.
The Lakers hopes of advancing out of the first round have taken two crushing blows in two days.
Reaves, in this his fifth season in LA, is having a career year. He's averaged a career-best 23.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.1 steals, while shooting 36% from three-point land.
