Insider Lists 3 Legitimate Destinations to Watch For LeBron James This Summer

LeBron James is an unrestricted free agent this summer. Will he be leaving LA? After eight seasons with the Lakers, and 23 overall in the NBA, LeBron's whereabouts this offseason are legitimately up in the air.

Insider Scoop B Robinson lists the three locales that are the teams to watch for LeBron, if he is to play a 24th NBA season. And a lot of it might have to do with where Giannis Antetokounmpo goes.

Of course, the Lakers are still in play, and one option. But a homecoming could be on the table as well, the insider says.

"I would pay attention to Giannis this summer. Because where he goes, LeBron could follow, or join at the same time...

"Would a LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo pairing in Cleveland make sense?... I know that the Cavaliers had a conversation with the Milwaukee Bucks (at the trade deadline)."

The connections with the Cavaliers are obvious. LeBron was drafted by Cleveland, and eventually returned there, where, in 2016, he brought a title there, his hometown team as a kid in nearby Akron. It would be a full-circle moment and storybook ending to his career.

Scoop B also adds that family pressures could bring him back to Cleveland. "Does his wife want him to come back to Cleveland? If he's smart, he'll listen to his wife. And from people I've spoken with, she's 50-50."

LeBron James would consider going to the NY Knicks this summer

But there's one more team he feels is a strong option:

"So if not Cleveland, and not Los Angeles, then who? The only team outside of those two that I have heard that LeBron would consider, is the New York Knicks.

"I also think that LeBron's relationship with certain members of the New York Knicks makes sense," said Scoop B.

To that end, he mentions William Wesley, who works in the Knicks' front office. He has known LeBron since he was in high school.

June 30 is the start of free agency. Scoop B feels, however, it could all be decided by July 4th.
