NBA News: Isaiah Thomas Is Back With The Celtics
He's been a fan favorite wherever he's gone in the world of basketball, but Isaiah Thomas is now back with the organization where he is most beloved and where he became a two-time NBA All-Star and MVP candidate. Thomas has been hired by the Boston Celtics for a scouting role.

Thomas has already been representing the team this week at the NBA Scouting Combine. He'll be based out of Seattle, his hometown, and give team president Brad Stevens a close eye on the scene on the West Coast.
Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe dropped the report on us today.
Now 37, Thomas had his career curtailed by a series of serious injuries, specifically a severe right hip issue, which caused loss of cartilage and arthritis, and robbed him of the explosiveness that he displayed when he broke through with the Celtics in the first half of the 2010s. In 2016-17, I.T. averaged 28.9 points and 5.9 assists per contest while finishing 5th in MVP balloting.
Thomas spoke a couple of years ago about the love he still gets from Boston fans.
"It's a blessing. I always talk to my friends about it—you would think I played 10 years here, you would think I won multiple championships. The love I have with the city, and vice versa, it's just genuine."
