Knicks Make Decision on Bruce Brown
The New York Knicks had a big decision to make this weekend to get their roster down to its season-opening shape. As we came down to the end of training camp, it looked like the final spot was going to be a battle between James Wiseman and Bruce Brown. The decision has been made, and Brown has been waived. The payroll ramifications would not allow them to keep both.

The former NBA champion (Denver, 2023) will now try to hook up with another team as the season gets set to tip off in the coming week.
The Knicks decided they were more in need of a third center, behind Karl-Anthony Towns and Andre Drummond, than another guard, even one with the veteran experience and defensive versatility that Brown brings.
The team tried to look at trades involving Pacome Dadiet or Tyler Kolek to free up a spot and some cap room, but were unable to do so.
Others that drew the short end of the stick in the battle for the Knicks' last spot included Tony Bradley and Drew Eubanks.
Brown, 30, appeared in 82 games with the Nuggets last season, averaging 7.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.0 steal, while shooting 38.5% from three-point range.
He could be claimed on waivers before Monday's roster deadline.
