Kings' Buddy Hield Comments On Crazy Offseason Full of Rumors

Buddy Hield reported to training camp with the Sacramento Kings and immediately the attention turned to the reports he wanted out of Sacramento. The 27-year-old was not shy with his comments about how he was being used by head coach Luke Walton and one thing's for sure, Hield has no regrets with what he said.

I have no regrets. There’s nothing to be worked on. I never had a problem with nobody here, so everything that was being heard, it wasn’t put out by me. I love everybody here in this franchise and this organization, so I don’t regret nothing I said. I’m going to keep it 100.

With some roster moves for the Kings, who lost Bogdan Bogdanovic, some more minutes have opened up for Hield who is expecting to see more crunch time minutes down the stretch. While he can't control what his coach's intentions, Hield can control his play on the court and he's hoping it does all the talking.

I always love competing and it doesn’t matter. That’s not my job. I don’t control that. The head coach controls that. They brought me here to play basketball and win basketball games, so whatever they need me for, I’m going to do it and try to compete at the highest (level) I can.

Hield averaged 19.2 points per game last season and started 44 of the Kings' 72 games. Expect both of those numbers to go up next season.
