Video: Kawhi Leonard Elbowed in the Face, Leaves Game

The Los Angeles Clippers have started the season 2-0 after a 121-108 revenge victory over the Denver Nuggets, however, some of the focus was on the fact Serge Ibaka accidently elbowed Kawhi Leonard, who was cut and had to leave the game.

The incident happened in the fourth quarter and of course was an accident. Leonard and Ibaka are very close friends from their days in Toronto and Leonard was responsible for recruiting Ibaka to play for the Clippers.

As Paul George mentioned after the game, the Clippers look like a different team this year, and it appears a lot has to do with the type of offense new coach, Ty Lue has been running. George looks like his old MVP self, and we are seeing less plays run for George where he's running off three different screens like ex-coach, Doc Rivers would set up.

George had this to say to the media regarding Leonard's injury and his play early on this season:

Really worried. I was thinking the worst. I didn’t know if he was concussed or what actually happened, I just saw him laying on the ground. That was first and foremost, making sure he was OK.

We’re a different team than last year. I buried last year, left last year in the bubble. This is a new season, new team, new goals, new everything. I was ready and poised and confident coming into this year, and I was prepared coming into this season.
