The Kyle Lowry Trade Rumors Are Heating Up!

The Toronto Raptors have started 1-5 for only the sixth time in franchise history and we can tell you, the other five times didn't go so well for the franchise. Their best record after a 1-5 start is 34-48 back in 2013 and the team is hoping they can turn it around quick before this shortened season gets out of hand.

While the team has been struggling to rebound the basketball and find consistency to start the year, there's been a ton of rumors swirling around the team with what direction the team will head if they can't start winning ball games.

If you ask one of their old rivals, Paul Pierce, the Boston Celtics great thinks the team should start by moving point-guard Kyle Lowry.

The 34-year-old point-guard would fetch a ton on the trade market, but he's so beloved by the Raptors and their fans, this move seems like it would be something that could go down closer to the trade deadline once it's determined the Raptors are for sure going to miss the playoffs.

Lowry is averaging 18.7 points per game, 4.5 rebounds and 7.7 assists and is shooting 35% from three. While a trade is unlikely at this point, expect Raptors president Masai Ujiri to consult with Lowry on any move to ensure the player is in the know and gives his preferred destinations.

When you're going to have a statue outside your home arena one day, management should show this level of respect.
