LA Lakers in Trade Talks with Orlando Magic

The Los Angeles Lakers are fielding trade calls from a number of teams of late and one being the Orlando Magic. Rumors have the Lakers interested in Magic center Mo Bamba as they look to find some depth down the middle for the likes of the injured Anthony Davis and veteran Marc Gasol.

Marc Berman of the NY Post recently had this to say about Bamba's situation in Orlando:

Bamba is in and out of the rotation, playing in just 12 games this season. Bamba is 22 and the Knicks looked to trade up in that draft to get the former Texas Longhorns star. The Lakers also reportedly have interest.

So far this season in 13 appearances, Bamba is averaging 4.8 points and 3.8 rebounds per game and has yet to even scratch the surface of his potential. Playing alongside some superstars and a winning culture with the Lakers could do wonders for his development.

We reported earlier this week the Lakers were holding trade discussions with the Cleveland Cavaliers about Andre Drummond and with the New Orleans Pelicans regarding JJ Redick. It's obvious the team is looking to tweak their lineup a touch before the trade deadline.
