Lakers Talking Big Trades With Cavaliers and Pelicans

The Los Angeles Lakers are looking to repeat as champs this season and while they could probably jump on LeBron James' shoulders to make it happen, Lakers management is currently trying to secure some more talent.

According to multiple reports the Lakers are in talks to acquire both Andre Drummond and JJ Redick in separate deals.

Drummond would provide the Lakers with a solid big-man who is one of the best rounders, athletic, and someone who can share the court with Anthony Davis once he returns from injury. So far this season in 25 games, Drummond has averaged 17.5 points and 13.5 rebounds per game.

As for Redick, the Lakers are trying to acquire a lock down shooter and the Duke product certainly fits the bill. The New Orleans Pelicans have been in discussions with several teams over the course of the past few weeks and it won't be long before Redick's dealt. So far this season the 36-year-old veteran is averaging 7.8 points per game and is shooting 35.1% from deep.
