Orlando Magic's Nikola Vucevic Talks About Potential Trade

All-Star Nikola Vucevic of the Orlando Magic is having himself a career season. The 30-year-old is averaging career highs basically across the board and even though the Magic sit second-last in the league, Vucevic doesn't want to go anywhere. His name has surfaced recently in a slew of trade rumors, linking him mostly to the Boston Celtics.

The 6'11 forward and former first-rounder of the Philadelphia 76ers recently spoke to the media about the said trade rumors and had this to say about the noise:

I’m happy where I am. When I re-signed with the Magic, I knew it was going to be a process and I knew we weren’t going to turn into a championship team right away. It’s unfortunate we’ve had all of these injuries. I think we are headed in the right direction, but we have lost two very important players — Markelle (Fultz) and J.I. (Jonathan Isaac) — for the season. If we were healthier, our goals would be much different and we could achieve much more. But that’s just part of the journey. Unexpected things are going to happen.

Vucevic would go on to mention how much staying means to him. Even though the Magic are struggling this season, it appears the big man wants to stay and build a playoff team.

Expect to see the Magic active before the March 25th trade deadline, it just doesn't appear Vucevic will be involved.
