VIDEO: Klay Thompson - 'I Plan on Being All-NBA'

Golden State Warrior Klay Thompson isn't going to let a couple of injuries hold back the potential of his career as the all-star vows he'll be returning to his All-NBA form once he comes back next season.

The 31-year-old admitted to the media recently that 2020 was the hardest year of his life for a number of different reasons, both on and off the basketball court. Thompson told reporters recently, while there's certainly been a ton of adversity thrown his way the past two years, he's learned from it, built himself into something bigger and better, and he's ready to take on the NBA next season:

I plan on being the All-NBA player I was. I will not settle for anything less. I'm too competitive to just take a relegated role. That's not me. I'm too fiery just to come out there and give you 13 (points) a game on 20 minutes. I can't wait, man. I got a lot of pent-up energy. ... I just want to play basketball.

It's been a weird two years for me. I genuinely love the game so much, it's been hard to find a lot of happiness without it, but it's going to come back, and it's just going to make me appreciate what I do that much more.

While injuries have halted the past two seasons, Thompson was busy reaching out to the likes of Grant Hill and Dominque Wilkins regarding coming back in top form and he's ready to take what he's learned and apply it on the court.

Look for Thompson to return to his Splash Brothers sometime 'early' next season.
