Marc Gasol Pissed Off With What's Going On With The Lakers

Marc Gasol signed in Los Angeles with the Lakers to compete for another championship and to contribute to the cause, right now that doesn't appear to be in the cards. The Lakers recently signed Andre Drummond and now Gasol's role has diminished even more and the big-man didn't hold back about his feelings in the matter.

Gasol spoke with ESPN's Dave McMenamin over the weekend and had this to say about his role on the team:

I think there's an 'if' - 'if' they need you. And it's a big 'if. You're not Plan A right now. You're Plan C, D. ... You have to accept it because that's your job. ... It's never easy to accept that.

Drummond did start immediately after he signed with the Lakers and once he's back from a toe injury, will be re-inserted into the starting lineup. It's been a career low season for Gasol as far as numbers go, however his head coach Frank Vogel reminded everyone, if the Lakers are going to want to win another championship this season, they need Marc Gasol in their mix.

I think people need to understand how good of a player Marc Gasol is and how valuable he is to what we're doing. And we're going to play our most important players, so he's going to help us win a championship this year.

As of right now it doesn't sound like the relationship is past non-repair so hopefully for Gasol and the Lakers they can find the right amount of playing time to keep everyone happy, and the team winning games.
