Video: Nuggets' Aaron Gordon Gets Revenge Against His Former Team

For Aaron Gordon of the Denver Nuggets it was just another game meanwhile for Orlando Magic fans it was a unfamiliar scene as the ex-Magic forward took on his old team for the first time. Gordon had himself a night, finishing with 24 points and leading the Nuggets to a 119-109 victory.

Gordon started the game like a house on fire, scoring Denver's first 12 points, however it was the Magic who led by 18 at the half. Gordon continued his strong play in the second half to erase the deficit and he had some help from Jamal Murray who scored 22 points, Michael Porter Jr who scored 17 points and Nuggets MVP candidate Nikola Jokic chipped in with 17 points, 16 assists and nine rebounds.

Nuggets head coach Michael Malone has been impressed with what he's seen from Gordon early on in Denver and knew he didn't need to say much to get Gordon motivated for the game:

I haven’t gotten the sense from Aaron that he’s hyped up more because it’s Orlando than he was for Atlanta or Philly or the Clippers. I don't get the sense that he's that type of guy. I haven’t said anything to him. What I tell our entire group is that this game is all about us. If we think we can just show up because we’re playing a team that doesn’t have maybe a marquee name, we’re going to find ourselves in a ballgame.
