Free Agent Watch: Lonzo Ball

The New Orleans Pelicans have some big decisions to make this offseason, including the future of restricted free-agent guard, Lonzo Ball. If it was up to Ball only, he'd be re-signing with the Pelicans immediately.

Ball recently met with the media and opened up about the people he's met in New Orleans and the talent they've started to assemble on the basketball court:

That's a conversation between me and my agent moving forward. But obviously I would love to be back. I built a bond here with the coaches and the teammates who are here. I definitely wouldn't mind coming back at all.

Ball had himself a great season, posting career-best 14.6 ppg, while averaging 5.7apg and 4.8rpg in 55 appearances. One of the biggest things people noticed was his shooting, as he knocked down 41.4% from the field, 37.8% from deep,  and 78.1% of his free-throws. The latter was a huge improvement from his 56.6% from the charity stripe last season.

Zion Williamson vouched for 'Zo' to come back to the Pelicans and mentioned their relationship has taken off, along with fellow star Brandon Ingram. The 23-year-old Ball is coming off making $11 million and will be looking closer to $20 million per season on the market. The Pelicans can expect for teams to come knocking, including the Toronto Raptors, New York Knicks, and Miami Heat.
