Scott Brooks OUT as Wizards Head Coach

Now make it SIX coaching vacancies, as Scott Brooks and the Washington Wizards have agreed to part ways. This comes just minutes after the Pelicans ousted Stan Van Gundy.

Brooks' deal expired after the season, and he's been in limbo since the Wizards were eliminated in the first round by the Philadelphia 76ers. Wizards general manager Tommy Sheppard spoke of wanting to take some "big swings" this offseason to get the team back into contention, and the Brooks move is the first domino to fall.

Brooks was the 7th-longest tenured coach in the NBA before today's announcement.

After a wild morning in the NBA, there are now 6 coaching vacancies, and two more superstars down and out.
