Rumor: Los Angeles Clippers Are Still Interested In Lonzo Ball

New Orleans Pelicans point guard Lonzo Ball is a player many teams have been linked to already this summer. According to Shams Charania of the Athletic, the Clippers are among them. This shouldn't come as much of a surprise, though, as they wanted to acquire him around this year's trade deadline, too.

The Pelicans could very well move on from the 23-year-old, as he is a restricted free agent and they would get a decent return for him via trade. The 2017 second overall pick still has room for improvement and is coming off his best season to date. He also averaged a career-high 14.6 points per game this season, so he's become a stronger player offensively. His numbers will likely keep going up, too.

With Kawhi Leonard out for significant time with a partially torn ACL, it makes sense that the Clippers want to add some firepower. Ball has the potential to get even better and could be excellent long-term fit for the Clippers moving forward.

We will see what happens with this very soon.
