Jusuf Nurkic Responds To Damian Lillard Trade Request Rumors

In light of the recent reports that Trailblazers star Damian Lillard will request a trade in the ensuing days, teammate Jusuf Nurkic is repudiating the sources claiming to have insider information. Nurkic sent out a series of tweets disparaging the journalists reporting the breaking news and insinuated that their claims are fraudulent.

According to True Hoop's Henry Abbott, Lillard's trade request is forthcoming. He also noted that this news should not come as a surprise and, if it does, "you haven't been paying attention." The Blazers big man responded by poking fun at Abbot's name, referring to its similarity to the word robot.

The six-time All-Star is also reportedly interested in joining the New York Knicks, per Sports Illustrated's Grant Afseth. Nurkic, once again, condemned the journalist for false reporting. He called Afseth a clown and implied that his story is factitious.  

 

This is not the first time Nurkic has shown that he has no qualms discussing Lillard's future in a Blazers uniform. He's also asserted that "if [Lillard] goes, then I leave Portland as well."
