VIDEO: Watch Lillard Deny Trade Request Rumor; Will Meet with Blazers Today

 

Damian Lillard told reporters this afternoon that he will NOT be submitting a trade demand "within a few days."

"It's not true," Lillard said after Team USA practice today. "I haven't made any firm decision on what my future will be."

But the entire situation may be coming to a head this afternoon in Las Vegas (where Lillard is with Team USA training for the Olympics). Portland Trail Blazers GM Neil Olshey and new head coach Chauncey Billups are expected to meet with Lillard to discuss the situation.

This story has taken several twists and turns today, after a report this morning that Lillard would be submitting his trade request within days.  

Dame's preferred trade destinations then became the topic of discussion, through varying sources.  

A few hours later, the Portland Oregonian refuted the earlier reports, saying that NBA sources told them that Lillard will not be requesting a trade. 

Now it appears that the Blazers' brain trust wants to settle this once and for all, and have traveled to Las Vegas to meet with Lillard himself.
