Source: Damian Lillard To Request Trade Within Days!

The rumors have been swirling for weeks; Damian Lillard is not happy in Portland, and may want out. Now, NBA insider Henry Abbott reports that Lillard will be asking for a trade "in the days to come."

The Blazers have been enveloped in controversy since their season ended in the first round of the playoffs. Long-time coach Terry Stotts was fired, and Lillard gave a shout-out to Jason Kidd as his preferred choice. Kidd then withdrew his name over concerns the Lillard statement would compromise the coaching hire process.

When Chauncey Billups was named the new head coach, and Lillard was said to have endorsed him, Dame was hit hard on social media for not commenting on a sexual abuse charge against Billups from 24 years ago.  That, plus the Blazers' inability to put a contender around him, and now the word was out, Lillard was not happy in Portland

Trade rumors have been circulating ever since, but now we're at a new level. An official trade demand is just days away.

As Abbott points out, the name of a Dame D.O.L.L.A. tune in the Space Jam soundtrack spells it out: It's About That Time.
