Andre Drummond Signs With Sixers After Career-Long Beef With Joel Embiid!

 

It's a beef that goes back several years — big men Joel Embiid and Andre Drummond have been going at it since 2017, both on the court, and off it. Now they are teammates. This should be interesting.

Drummond has signed a one-year deal with the Philadelphia 76ers, and brings with him a lot of baggage in his beef with his new teammate. After an on-court trash talking from Embiid in 2017, Drummond responded with: 

Drummond on Embiid’s trash talk "I mean you can't really have a conversation with a man who can't play a back-to-back. I've been playing for six years and I've missed maybe 4-5 games. So when he can play a whole season without taking a rest, he can come talk to me."

Embiid's response in 2018 continued the mind games:

Now Drummond will be Embiid's back-up. It will be fascinating to watch how these two co-exist in the same locker room.

Joel Embiid: “ Ah, you finally traded Ben. Nice!”

The Sixers: “No, we signed Andre Drummond.”
