Dwight Howard Is Joining The Los Angeles Lakers Again

For the third time in his NBA career, Dwight Howard will be a member of the Los Angeles Lakers. His agent, Qais Haider confirmed this to ESPN.

At this stage of his career, Howard is no longer a superstar, but rather a role player. However, adding him is not a bad thing in the slightest. In limited minutes, he can be quite effective when coming in off the bench and contribute some offense.

In 69 games this season with the Philadelphia 76ers, he averaged 7.0 points per game to along with 8.4 rebounds and 0.9 assists. This is the kind of depth production the Lakers will appreciate from him yet again.

Howard first played for the Lakers during the 2012-13 season, but the fit was just not there and they would move on the following season. However, when he returned to the team during the 2019-20 season, he was a nice addition and was a key part of their NBA Championship run. He will be hoping to win another one with them this season. When looking at their roster, it is fair to state that it is possible.
