Tim Hardaway Jr. To Stay With The Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks are bringing back Tim Hardaway Jr, as they have agreed on a four-year, $74 million contract.

This is very good news for the Mavericks, as Hardaway Jr. has become an important player for them over the years. The shooting guard should continue to be a key contributor for them moving forward.

In 70 games this past season with Dallas, the 29-year-old averaged 16.6 PPG to go along with 3.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists. He also played quite well during the postseason, as he averaged 17.0 PPG. He is a consistent scorer that now will be with the Mavericks for quite some time.

Hardaway Jr. also has a lot of overall experience, so his leadership will be greatly appreciated. He is about to start the ninth season of his career and has played in 544 career games. That is never a bad thing to have with a veteran. At the end of the day, it is simply nice that they are bringing him back.
