Video: Kyle Kuzma Thought He Would Be Traded To Sacramento Kings

Although Kyle Kuzma was traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Washington Wizards as a part of the Russell Westbrook deal, he thought he was heading elsewhere. In an interview on No Chill With Gilbert Arenas down below, he openly states that he believed he was going to join the Sacramento Kings.

The Lakers were heavily linked to Buddy Hield and Kuzma was rumored to be the main piece going the other way. However, the trade of course was not finalized and Kuzma will now be playing for the Wizards next season.

The Wizards will be Kuzma's second NBA team, as he spent his first four years in the league with the Lakers. In 276 games with them, he averaged 15.2 PPG, 6.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists. It will be interesting to see how he does with this change of scenery. Nonetheless, it's always interesting to hear NBA players be so honest about the business side of the game.
