Breaking News: Bol Bol Trade to Pistons CALLED OFF

It's been three days since the Denver Nuggets traded Bol Bol to the Detroit Pistons, but now a league source has told The Denver Post that the trade is OFF. Apparently, the Pistons discovered a problem with Bol's physical, and "reneged" on the deal.

Detroit was planning to send Rodney McGruder and a late 2nd round pick to Denver in return. Hopefully McGruder didn't sell his home in the Motor City just yet.

What the medical issue is with Bol is unclear at this point, however, he did have surgery on a foot fracture during his college season at Oregon in January of 2019. Bol played only 9 games with the Ducks.

While he was projected to be one of the top selections in the 2019 Draft before the surgery, he eventually fell to the middle of the 2nd round where the Miami Heat drafted him with the 44th overall pick on behalf of Denver, and immediately traded him to the Nuggets.

He spent most of his 1st season in Denver out of the lineup with "injury management" of his surgically-repaired foot, then played just 32 games in his 2nd year, and only 14 games this season.

Bol has averaged just 6 minutes a game for the Nuggets in his NBA career, along with 2.4 points and 1.4 rebounds.
