Cavaliers Keeping Guard Around

The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed Brandon Goodwin to a two-way contract for the remainder of the season. With this, they have released Tacko Fall.

Goodwin signed a 10-day contract with the Cavaliers at the start of 2022. Clearly, the Cavaliers have been impressed by his play - hence why he landed himself this new contract.

In three games with the Cavaliers, he averaged 7.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per contest. With that, he also played 22.7 minutes per game, so it's clear Cleveland liked what they were seeing from the 26-year-old point guard.

Goodwin also has a bit of experience at the NBA level, so that may have also played a role in Cleveland's decision. In 100 career NBA games between the Denver Nuggets, Atlanta Hawks, and Cavaliers, he has averaged 4.8 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.7 assists.

Overall, this is a minor move by the organization, but a huge chance for Goodwin to get into more NBA action.
