Lakers Provide Significant Update on Anthony Davis

The Los Angeles Lakers got more than just a win Monday night... They also got some big news on the status of Anthony Davis, who's missed the last 14 games. He has now been cleared for full practice.

Head coach Frank Vogel—who is the subject of a simultaneous report today suggesting his job is on the line on a daily basis—must have been happier than anyone to announce that Davis has been "cleared for an on-court ramp-up with contact."

The Lakers' superstar big man has been out with a strained MCL since injuring the knee on December 19th. The team has been treading water without AD, going 6-8.

After being reevaluated by team doctors yesterday, the decision was made to move from individual workouts to full contact. According to ESPN, the Lakers do hope to have him back at some point during their 6-game road trip that kicks off on Friday.
