Video: Russell Westbrook Stuns Rudy Gobert With HUGE Dunk

Russell Westbrook and the Los Angeles Lakers have been struggling lately, losing 3 games in a row heading into Monday's game against division rival Utah Jazz.  Westbrook has been criticized all season for the team's lack of chemistry, with critics often pointing to his turnovers and late-game decisions as one of the primary reasons for the Lakers' lacklustre 22-22 record.  Westbrook has been struggling with his shot lately as well, and his confidence seemed to be at an all-time low before something amazing happened late in the second quarter when the former league MVP saw an opportunity to do something spectacular, and he took it.

Just hours after we saw former Laker Kyle Kuzma successfully challenge Joel Embiid at the rim and posterizing him in what is a surefire candidate for dunk of the year honors, Westbrook took aim at 3x Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert after a successful pick from LeBron James at the 3-point line.  Westbrook then rewound the clock back to his OKC days, cocked back a one-handed dunk and seemingly took all his recent frustrations out on the rim and subsequently, Gobert:

The Lakers went on to win 101-95 thanks in part to this play, and many other clutch plays that the 33-year-old guard made down the stretch, including this and-1 with 40 seconds left in the game:

Russell Westbrook and the Lakers will try to keep this positive momentum going as they host the Indiana Pacers tomorrow night.
