Lance Stephenson Signs On With Pacers Once Again

Let the air guitar celebrations play on... For the 3rd time this season, the Indiana Pacers have signed Lance Stephenson to a 10-day contract. His 2nd such deal expired on Sunday.

After two "hardship contracts" (one with Atlanta, one with Indiana), this is his second regular 10-day deal. It's been a renewed love affair between Stephenson and the Indiana fans since his signing on Jan. 1st. And no doubt they're thrilled that he's staying around. But for only 10 days again?

There has been much speculation that they'd simply sign him for the rest of the season, but for now, it looks like the Pacers are trying to keep their options open as they head towards the trade deadline.

Stephenson has averaged 9.5 points, 3.6 assists and 2.5 rebounds in his Pacers revival. His first game back in Indiana was one of the events of the NBA season, as he exploded for 30 points, dropping 20 in the 1st quarter, garnering standing ovations.

Make no mistake, if the Pacers don't relent and give Stephenson a contract for the rest of the season when this 10-day is done, Indiana fans will revolt.
