NBA Rumors: Jerami Grant Gives Pistons List Of Preferred Destinations

Jerami Grant is the hottest name on the trade market as we approach the deadline in two weeks. Numerous teams are knocking down the Detroit Pistons' doors trying to acquire their leading scorer.

Now, it seems that Grant is buying into the hype, as his agents have provided a list of preferred destinations he'd like to be traded to. ESPN's Brian Windhorst said this:

I was told his representation came to the Pistons and said ‘If you’re going to trade him, here’s a list of teams we would be interested in going to play for.

Windhorst followed up by saying that the Pistons haven't made a firm decision yet on whether they'll move Grant. But make no mistake, there are plenty of suitors. There's no word as of yet which teams are on that list, but for what it's worth, it appears that the Atlanta Hawks and Sacramento Kings are the most active in their pursuit, according to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report.

Grant and Pistons general manager Troy Weaver have a strong relationship, so it's likely that if he does get some satisfactory offers, Weaver will do his best to send Grant to one of his preferred teams.

But there are other conditions, says Windhorst: The team he's traded to must be willing to pay him this offseason, when he's eligible for a $112M extension.

The 27-year-old is averaging 20.8 points and 4.8 rebounds this season, and has previously said he wants to be with a team where he will be featured on offense.
