Video: Watch Steph Curry's Game-Winning Buzzer Beater

The Golden State Warriors expected to be a playoff season this team, with 5x All-Star Klay Thompson coming back to join an already formidable lineup featuring former #1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins, former Defensive Player of the Year Draymond Green, and 2x league MVP Steph Curry.  22-year-old Jordan Poole has filled in admirably in Thompson's absence, but there are few players in the league - if any - with Thompson's combination of pure shooting and defensive prowess.  It will take some time before the 3x NBA Champion will be back to his previous All-Star form after missing more than two years of action, and the Warriors need more than just an emotional boost to get over the hump in the Western Conference.

The Warriors were just 4-6 in their last 10 games heading into last night's game against the Houston Rockets at the Chase Center in San Francisco.  The Warriors lost a close game to the Pacers at home the night before and they did not want to disappoint the home crowd for a second night in a row.  The Rockets had a chance to take the lead late with the game tied 103-103, but Garrison Mathews missed a jumper and Warriors forward Otto Porter Jr. corralled the rebound and called a timeout with 5.1 seconds remaining.

Enter Steph Curry:

The NBA's all-time leading 3-point shooter elected to fake the drive and make a ridiculous midrange step-back jumper as time expired, sending the Warriors crowd into a frenzy in one of the more feel-good moments of this NBA season.

The final minutes of the game were filled with drama and you can see the last 1:30 unfold here:

Curry and the Warriors hope to keep their positive momentum going when they face the Utah Jazz tomorrow night.
