Boston Celtics Sign Big Man

The Boston Celtics have signed big man Luke Kornet to a contract. He will stay with the team for the remainder of the season.

It's been a pretty eventful year for Kornet, as the Celtics are the third team he will be playing for. However, he only has played three games between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Milwaukee Bucks this season. In them, he averaged 1.3 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 0.3 assists per contest. Now, he is set to begin his second stint with the Celtics.

Kornet has a decent amount of NBA under his belt, too. In 136 career games over five seasons between the New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls, Celtics, Cavaliers, and Bucks, he has averaged 5.7 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 1.0 assists. Now, he will have the chance to build on these numbers for the rest of the campaign with the Celtics.

Kornet will likely be another depth player for the Celtics, but that certainly is not a bad thing come playoff time. With this, they also promoted Sam Hauser from his two-way contract, and he will join their 15-man roster for the year.
