Brad Stevens Says "I Love Isaiah Thomas!"—Is A Celtics Reunion Coming?
The Boston Celtics have added a couple of players today (forward Sam Hauser and center Luke Kornet), but that still leaves them with 3 open roster spots, and an opening for a backup point guard. Fans, naturally, are clamoring for them to bring back former Celtics All-Star Isaiah Thomas. And team president Brad Stevens isn't doing anything to quell the uprising with his comments this morning:
Stevens on IT: "Isaiah is a special guy. I love Isaiah. Everyone loves Isaiah. He's just a special person and I understand why everyone feels that way."

Stevens did say Boston may find they need another "veteran leader to help our guys the rest of this season."
"Isaiah is a special guy. I love Isaiah. Everyone loves Isaiah. He's just a special person and I understand why everyone feels that way," said Steven on Boston radio show Toucher & Rich this morning. "I have talked with him often since he left. I don't want to get into much beyond what we need to do today. We'll assess what our needs are and go from there."
And then he added that the Celts "may find they need another 'veteran leader to help our guys the rest of this season.'"
Is he just teasing Celtics' fans, or is Stevens really thinking of pulling the trigger and bringing back IT, especially now that backup guard Dennis Schroder is gone?
We know Thomas is keeping in shape, because he just posted this workout video, in which he blows by John Wall:

Thomas signed 10-day 'hardship' contracts earlier this season with first the Los Angeles Lakers, and then the Dallas Mavericks.
