Boston Celtics Sign Two Forwards

The Boston Celtics are still tweaking their roster, as they attempt to continue their rise up the Eastern Conference when play resumes this week. The Celts are signing forwards Malik Fitts and Kelan Martin to 10-day contracts.

Fitts is a 6'8" second-year power forward who had a stint with the Utah Jazz earlier this season, playing in 7 games, but proceeded to fracture his wrist in January, resulting in the Jazz waiving him.

He had signed an NBA G League contract before the Celtics announced they were picking him up.

The 6'5" Martin is in his 3rd NBA season, the last two with the Indiana Pacers. They waived him in January, after averaging 6.3 points and 2 rebounds in 16 minutes a game.

Also adding Derrick White, and reuniting with Daniel Theis at the trade deadline, the Celtics enter the post-All-Star Break with a revamped lineup, after riding a hot streak of 9-1 in ten games before the break.
