Brooklyn Nets To Sign Veteran Guard

The Brooklyn Nets are officially set to sign Goran Dragic.
Once the San Antonio Spurs and Dragic reached a buyout agreement, several teams immediately became linked to the veteran guard. Although teams like the Dallas Mavericks and Milwaukee Bucks were viewed as among the frontrunners, the Nets have officially won the sweepstakes.

At this juncture of the campaign, the Nets have a 31-28 record and have fallen to eighth place in the Eastern Conference. They of course made a monstrous shakeup to their roster, as they traded James Harden to the Philadelphia 76ers and brought in Ben Simmons. Yet, it is clear that they weren't fully content with their new lineup, so now they have added Dragic to the mix.

Due to a personal matter, Dragic only played in five games this season with the Toronto Raptors. In them, he averaged 8.0 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists. The sample size was far too small to actually judge his play, but if history repeats itself, the Nets have landed themselves another very solid player. Furthermore, he also possesses a lot of overall experience, as he has 14 NBA seasons under his belt.

Alas, this is a very good move for the Nets. Let's see how Dragic performs once he officially arrives.
