NBA Rumors: Jazz Targeting Veteran Guard

According to Michael Scotto, the Utah Jazz are one of the many teams who are interested in Houston Rockets veteran Eric Gordon.

The Rockets currently sport a 15-39 record and are at the bottom of the Western Conference. Due to this, one can easily tell that they are destined to be sellers this deadline season. With Gordon being 33 years old and still having decent trade value, it makes too much sense to trade him. Furthermore, it is something that would likely make the veteran happy at this juncture.

It's been another solid season for Gordon this year. In 45 games, he has averaged 14.2 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists. He would provide the Jazz with more offense if acquired by them. He also offers nice versatility, as he can play both shooting guard and small forward.

At this point of the season, the Jazz are in fourth place and have a 33-21 record. However, they also have won just four out of their last 10 games, so they could use a spark in their lineup right now. That's where adding a guy like Gordon makes sense for them.
