NBA Rumors: Sixers Have "A Couple Of Suitors Lined Up" To Take Tobias Harris

Tobias Harris knows the score. He's heard the trade rumors. He knows that his 5-year, $180M contract is preventing the Philadelphia 76ers from doing some of the things they hope to be doing over the next six months. So he's got his ears and eyes open right now.

“For the next few days, I’m going to be refreshing Adrian Wojnarowski tweets, and Shams, just like everybody else," says Harris. He's aware his name is out there, and he acknowledges that there is an impact mentally from all the rumors.

According to Kyle Neubeck of the Philly Voice, "sources familiar with the situation say they have two potential suitors with cap space lined up who they could move Harris to if they need to clear the decks." One of those is the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Then there are those who feel that a leak such as this is meant to scare the Brooklyn Nets into thinking that the Sixers will be able to clear the cap space to sign James Harden outright as a free agent this summer. If they believe that, they'll be more apt to make a deal now with Philly.

And as ESPN Insider Brian Windhorst said quite adamantly yesterday, EVERYTHING you hear is "part of the negotiations."
