Suns Guard To Miss Time

The Phoenix Suns will be without Landry Shamet for the next one to two weeks. The 24-year-old guard is dealing with a right ankle sprain.

The team is hoping that Landry can return before the NBA's All-Star break. If Shamet recovers from his injury on time, he should be able to with ease. The All-Star Game is not until February 20th, keep in mind.

Shamet is currently in his first season with the Suns. In 45 games this season, he is averaging 7.4 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per contest. Overall, in terms of scoring, it's been a down year for him. Yet, because this is a short-term injury, he should have plenty of time to get it back on track from here.

Thankfully, the Suns currently sport a 41-9 record, so they are in excellent shape when it comes to the standings. Therefore, they do not need to rush Shamet back by any means. Still, though, they certainly would rather have him in the lineup than not.

Alas, here's to hoping Shamet recovers on time and will be back with the team shortly.
