Trail Blazers Sign Center To 10-Day Deal

The Portland Trail Blazers have signed Drew Eubanks to a 10-day contract.

Eubanks was waived by the Toronto Raptors immediately after they acquired him at the trade deadline from the San Antonio Spurs. It was a necessity for him to be added to the Goran Dragic-Thad Young trade, but it became clear that he wasn't in Toronto's plans once it was finalized. Yet, now the 25-year-old has a new home with Portland - even if it turns out to be temporary.

Time will tell if this signing will result in Eubanks getting a contract for the remainder of the season. Yet, for now, he will be another depth player for the Trail Blazers. In 49 games this season with the Spurs, he averaged 4.7 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.0 assists. Overall, he has the ability to do be a decent role player and should be given the chance to with Portland.

In 148 career games over four seasons with the Spurs, Eubanks averaged 4.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 0.8 assists.
