Draymond Green Announces His Return Date On His Own Podcast

The Golden State Warriors simply have not been the same without Draymond Green in the lineup. He’s been out of the lineup for since Jan. 9th. Now, as The Volume reports, "sources say Draymond Green is targeting March 14 to make his return.... Sources are Draymond." He made the long-awaited announcement on his own podcast.

"I'm excited as hell," said Draymond. "It's been... almost 2 1/2 months since I've played... I'm extremely excited to get back out there with my guys to try to right the ship."

Since Green went down with a back injury 25 games ago, the Warriors have gone 13-12 in his absence, heading into play Monday night. Their struggles have really intensified lately, losing 8 of their last 10, and falling eight full games back of the 1st place Phoenix Suns. The low point came on Sunday, when they lost to the struggling Los Angeles Lakers.

And perhaps nobody has suffered more during Draymond's absence than Steph Curry. His scoring in those 25 games is down to a human-like 24.3 points per game, while his 3-point shooting during this stretch is at 36.8%, far below his career mark of 43%.

"I've never missed that much time during a season," said Green. "This is something different for me." His return comes on Steph Curry's 34th birthday.
