Norm Powell Takes Issue With Reporter's "Sources"

During TNT's broadcast of the Los Angeles Clippers/Denver Nuggets game, Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes did his usual sideline hits, and reported at one point on the status of the Clippers' Norm Powell:

“Norm Powell, sources tell me, is itching to get back out there and is expected to return at some point before the end of the regular season,” Haynes said.

This is the first time that it's been reported that Powell would return before the playoffs.

It seems that Powell, himself, got wind of that report today, and fired back with his own response on Twitter:

"What sources? Is saying how I feel? It’s either from me or fake news. Chill with the sources talk. Smh" wrote Powell. Ouch.

Norm is obviously not anxious to have any extra pressure put on him in the race to return to action. He's been out since suffering a fractured foot after just three games in a Clipper uniform. He was acquired in a trade from Portland at the deadline in February.

He and the Clippers would obviously like to get back any of their long-term injured players by the playoffs—this includes Kawhi Leonard and Paul George as well—but there really hasn't been any indication that the Clips can count on any of them being back in game action before the regular season ends.

Powell apparently just wants everyone to know that the only "source" any updates on him should come from, is Norm himself.
