Pelicans To Add Big Man To Lineup For First Time

The forgotten piece of the New Orleans Pelicans' blockbuster deadline deal with the Portland Trail Blazers is about to make his debut. Coming to the Big Easy along with CJ McCollum, big man Larry Nance Jr. will seemingly finally be in the lineup Thursday night.

Nance Jr. arrived from Portland on Feb. 9th already having been out with knee inflammation for about a month. Only two days later it was announced he'd be having surgery and would be out six more weeks.

Although he hasn't taken the court with his new teammates yet, Nance is already thoroughly impressed with the organization.

"This is a great locker room," Nance told Pelicans beat reporter Jim Eichenhofer. Griff (executive VP of basketball operations David Griffin), Trajan (GM Trajan Langdon) and those guys have done an unbelievable job of getting great people first. We see what they can do on the court, but each and every one of them is a great person in their own right."

Nance will apparently be fully integrated himself as of Thursday night.
