Ty Lue Snaps After Question About His Missing Stars

"When are they coming back?" It's a question that Los Angeles Clippers head coach Ty Lue has heard almost daily all season about one or both of his missing stars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. And not unlike the father who's heard "are we there yet?" just one time too many, Lue finally snapped at the media:

"I'm tired of hearing about this shit! When they're playing, I'll let y'all know. I'm tired of talking about them every day. We can't win a game, but we gotta talk about Kawhi/PG. Talk about the guys in the locker room that's fighting & clawing every single day."

Fair enough. But reporters and fans were obviously all worked up about a video on Wednesday showing Kawhi Leonard working out and hitting three after three after three, nothing but net.

Overall, the workout was noted as "rigorous" by Yahoo's Chris Haynes, yet at the same time, it was revealed yesterday that Kawhi hasn't been cleared for contact drills. Leonard is recovered from ACL reconstruction.

Paul George is recovering from a UCL tear, and his return is still unclear as well. Add in Norm Powell, acquired at the trade deadline, who's out with a broken foot, and the Clippers are doing as well as can be expected at this point, winning seven of their last 10 games, and sitting 8th in the West, 4.5 games up on the Lakers in 9th.

Lue says if Kawhi and PG aren't back by the end of the regular season, it would be "not safe" to bring them back only for the playoffs.
