Celtics Get Huge News Ahead Of Game 2

The Boston Celtics were forced to play Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final against the Miami Heat without two key starters, and it showed. Boston collapsed in the 3rd quarter and lost the game 118-107.

Now, as Game 2 approaches Thursday night, not only is Marcus Smart listed as "probable", but the Celtics get some unexpected good news as Al Horford is now available to play as well. He was placed in health and safety protocols hours before Game 1 and wasn't expected to be available for Game 2 either. But all that's changed.

Horford was tested continually over the past two days, according to Adrian Wojnarowski, with the hope that he could clear the safety protocols. That's apparently been the case, as he is officially listed as available for Game 2.

The Celtics lineup won't be complete, however, as head coach Ime Udoka said that guard Derrick White will miss Game 2 due to the birth of his baby.

Two starters in, one 2nd unit player out; the Celtics still come out ahead.

Game 2 is Thursday night, with Boston attempting to salvage a split in Miami, and take hold of home-court advantage in the series.
