Ja Morant Injured, Calls Out Jordan Poole, "Broke The Code" Controversy Explodes Again

To say that the Memphis Grizzlies-Golden State Warriors series is getting nasty would be an understatement. After all sorts of hard fouls and physical play through the first two games, and an accusation by Warriors head coach Steve Kerr that Dillon Brooks "broke the code" on an injury to Gary Payton II, Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant is the latest to get into the war of words.

Morant had his knee grabbed by Jordan Poole during the Warriors blowout win, and claimed that caused an injury of some sort, leaving him limping out of the arena...

Shortly thereafter, Morant tweeted "Broke the code" with the video of the play in question, but later deleted it.

But Warriors fans were quick to point out that Morant likely injured his knee on a different play:

Jordan Poole had his own response to the play in question:

"I was going for the ball. I don't want to see anybody get hurt," said Poole. "I'm not even that type of player. I respect everybody. I hope he gets better and we see him out there next game."

Klay Thompson, who's had his own tough playoff knee injury to deal with in the past, said it's just "playoff talk":

"We're not out there trying to club people on the back of the head during a fast break," added Thompson, in a clear shot at the Grizzlies' Dillon Brooks hard foul on Payton in Game 1.

This is getting to be must-watch TV.. Game 4 Monday night.
